DOMUS CALZOLARI (English translation below)
Delizioso appartamento di 70 mq recentemente ristrutturato, all’interno di uno storico edificio in pietra, la Domus Calzolari, antica sede dei Calzolari di Gubbio, una delle quindici corporazioni medioevali di artigiani eugubini.
La casa risale al 1300 ed è situata accanto a Porta Metauro, l’accesso nord del centro storico, nel caratteristico quartiere medioevale di San Martino. In pochi passi raggiungerete il centro della città. Non è in zona ZTL.
Rivestita con cotto artigianale, creato a mano da artigiani del territorio, e con le antiche travi in legno e pianelle tipiche delle case medioevali.
La cucina in muratura è abbellita e impreziosita dal lavandino e il ripiano in pietra avana di Gubbio, scolpito dal maestro Luca Grilli, un famoso artigiano eugubino.
E’ fornita di stoviglie e biancheria, forno a microonde, lavastoviglie, bollitore elettrico e macchina per gustarvi un ottimo caffè espresso.
Nel bagno, dotato di tutto l’occorrente, potrete rilassarvi nella spaziosa doccia, abbellita da dai rivestimenti in cotto artigianale
Il sapone e bagnoschiuma a disposizione sono “Ecolabel”, il marchio europeo di qualità, che identifica i prodotti a basso impatto ambientale e gli elevati standard prestazionali.
Nel soggiorno troverete Tv 43 pollici e diffusore stereo collegabile al vostro smartphone. Collegamento internet con fibra ad alta velocità gratuito.
Asciugamani e biancheria sono inclusi.
COME RAGGIUNGERE la Domus Calzolari in macchina:
Seguire le indicazioni per “Scheggia”. Passato il semaforo, costeggiare le mura della città. Potete fermarvi davanti alla casa qualche minuto per lasciare i bagagli (nella via c’è il divieto di sosta) ma poi dovrete parcheggiare sulla via da dove arrivate o nei parcheggi pubblici delle vicinanze (San Domenico o quello in via della Pentapoli, dopo sede della Polizia Municipale).
Regole della casa
In casa non è permesso fumare, organizzare feste o eventi ed ospitare animali.
Per evitare malfunzionamenti della caldaia per l’acqua calda ed i termosifoni a pavimento, si raccomanda di non modificare i parametri del termostato o della caldaia stessa. La stufa in ghisa non può essere usata per cucinare, ma solo per avere un riscaldamento aggiuntivo.
Si prega di utilizzare i sottopentola in sughero per poggiare tegami/pentole calde sul tavolo.

The accommodation
A delightful apartment of 70 square meters, recently renovated, in a historic stone building, the Domus Calzolari, ancient seat of the Calzolari of Gubbio, one of the fifteen medieval guilds of Gubbio artisans.
The house dates back to 1300 and is located next to Porta Metauro, the northern access of the historic center, in the characteristic medieval district of San Martino. In a few steps you will reach the city center. It is not in the ZTL area.
Covered with handmade terracotta, handmade by local craftsmen, and with the old wooden beams and tiles typical of medieval houses.
The built-in kitchen is embellished by the sink and the avana stone shelf of Gubbio, sculpted by the master Luca Grilli, a famous euguban craftsman.
It is equipped with crockery and linen, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, an electric kettle and a machine to enjoy an excellent espresso coffee.
In the bathroom, equipped with everything you need, you can relax in the spacious shower, embellished with handmade terracotta tiles.
The soap and shower gel available are “Ecolabel”, the European quality mark, which identifies products with low environmental impact and high performance standards.
In the living room you will find a 43-inch TV and a stereo speaker that can be connected to your smartphone. Free high speed fiber internet connection.
Towels and linen are included.
HOW TO REACH Domus Calzolari by car:
Follow the signs for “Scheggia”. Pass the traffic light, skirt the city walls. You can stop in front of the house to leave your luggage for few minutes (in the street it is forbidden to stop), but then you have to park on the street from where you arrive or in the public parking nearby (San Domenico or the one in via della Pentapoli, after the Municipal Police headquarters).
House Rules
Smoking, organizing parties or events, hosting animals are not allowed in the house.
To avoid malfunctions of the hot water boiler and floor radiators, it is recommended not to modify the parameters of the thermostat or the boiler itself.
The cast iron stove cannot be used for cooking but only for additional heating.
Please use the cork trivets to place pans/pots on the table.
